
DOUBLEDRAGON Corp. on Thursday said that its 680-room Hotel101 Madrid, Spain had surpassed 5,000 customer reviews on Booking.com less than five months after opening, with the property receiving a 9.1 rating out of a perfect 10 on the travel platform.
In a disclosure, the property developer said the hotel, which opened in March, had also reached full occupancy on several occasions and was now preparing for increased demand ahead of major events in Madrid, including Real Madrid football matches and the city’s inaugural Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The company said the property’s performance supported plans to accelerate the international expansion of the Hotel101 brand, with an aim of reaching one million standardized hotel rooms across 100 countries.
Spain is the first international market for the Filipino hotel chain.
The company added that 2026 would mark its largest annual expansion in terms of hotel room openings, with 2,229 new rooms scheduled to come onstream. These include the 680-room Hotel101 Madrid, 519-room Hotel101 Davao, 548-room Hotel101 Cebu and the 482-room Hotel101 Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan.

DoubleDragon also said that its 518-room Hotel101 Manila and 606-room Hotel101 Fort were continuing to record high occupancy levels.
Shares of DoubleDragon slipped P0.02, or 0.17 percent, to close at P11.82 each on Thursday.
